Big Blue Boogie...

According to this Inquirer article, an IBM internal memo has announced IBM's deals with Apple and Microsoft are major victories against Intel.

As you know, IBM produces the PowerPC 970-family processors Apple uses as the G5. IBM also landed a deal with Microsoft to produce the processor for the XBox 2.

The memo's tone suggests that Apple was seriously considering using Intel processors. While it wouldn't be the first time Apple contemplated moving to Intel, it's unlikely that the Mac would see such a radical processor move right now.

Anyway, congratulations to the folks at IBM. Just remember, you couldn't have done it without us.
